About

Lisa O’Donnell (b.1986) in an Irish artist, researcher and educator currently based in London. Her practice and research focuses on how painting can interpret historical documentation with a feminist methodology. Her ongoing PhD project which she is completing at the Royal College of Art explores ‘contemporary history painting’ in order to make visible feminist interpretations of 20th century Irish women’s history. 

 

She is currently a tutor on a  Foundation Art and Design course and has been a visiting lecturer at Camberwell College of Art and Atlantic Technology University. She also runs art workshops in community settings and has worked with numerous primary schools in London and Ireland as well as youth organisations such as The Boiler House N16 funded by Foundation for Future London and The Amaal Girls Project funded by the Osmani Trust.
